BOARD MEMBERS

The Myrtle Beach Golf Hall of Fame Board of Directors consists of seven individuals who are representatives of Grand Strand golf organizations. The board with votes, was created to establish the bylaws and guidelines for Myrtle Beach Golf Hall of Fame; review membership nominations submitted annually and select the most qualified candidates. All of the Grand Strand golf organizations are represented on the board and will serve for the time period consistent with the term with their affiliations. The inaugural Myrtle Beach Golf Hall of Fame Board of Directors consists of:
  • Tracy Conner – General Manager of the Tee Time Network
  • Alan Jarvis - Immediate past president of the Palmetto Golf Course Superintendents Association
  • David Durant – President of the Myrtle Beach Golf Course Owners Association
  • A.J. Gohil – Immediate past president of the Grand Strand Golf Directors Association
  • Ron Schmid – Executive director of the Carolinas PGA
  • Alicia Bame – Chairman of the Myrtle Beach Golf Holiday Board
  • Bob Swezey – Executive vice president of resort and golf operations for Burroughs & Chapin Company, Inc., and the executive director of the Myrtle Beach Golf Hall of Fame
  • David Downing – President of the Golf Course Superintendents Association of America has been appointed as a Director at Large, (non-voting capacity) through 2011
